ecosys is a Swiss consulting company specialized in the economic analysis of the environment, sustainable management tools (CSR) and public finances

ecosys was founded in 1988 as a spin-off of the Geneva University by Prof. Gonzague Pillet (PhD in economics), Jean-Pierre Cheneval (PhD in chemistry) and Jacques Dozio (Architect). Ever since, ecosys has been supporting public administrations and international organizations in the design, analysis and evaluation of public policies (impact of tax reforms, assessment of efficiency, redistributive impacts, environmental policies, etc.). More recently, ecosys has also been helping private companies to position themselves and implement a corporate social responsibility (CSR) approach.

We have an important academic network in Switzerland (Universities of Geneva, Lausanne and Fribourg, as well as the EPFL and the Geneva Business School) and internationally (Universities of Paris in France, of Florida in the USA, of El Jadida in Morocco, of Annaba in Algeria and the Princess Samaya University for Technology in Jordan).

In addition, we have many contacts in international organisations (OECD, CEMT, World Bank, UNDP and UNEP), in the European Union and in Government bodies for Development and Cooperation (GIZ in Germany and DDC in Switzerland) and collaborate on a daily basis with different organisations and institutions – such as environmental engineers, lawyers, architects – that contribute to our field knowledge and practical skills required for specific projects.

Our Director, Dr. David Maradan, is lecturer at the Geneva Business School as well as at the Universities of Geneva and Fribourg.
